Partner | Legal counsel

I am creative, unconventional and I have excellent business skills. My focus lies on online, privacy compliance and writing accessible agreements. I get my energy from contributing creatively to the development of innovative products and services.

After three years of IT law at Dutch law firm Kennedy Van der Laan, I went to ISP XS4ALL, where I was their first company lawyer. After that I worked for KPN. My last employer was Google, where I was responsible for all legal matters in the Benelux. In 2011 I started as an independent lawyer (mostly in-house with e.g. Coca- Cola, Sogeti, TP Vision, Philips, Vodafone, Baker & McKenzie and Clifford Chance).

I get things done. Social, loyal and driven. Strong soft skills. My focus lies with drafting and negotiating complex IT contracts, aiding disputes and facilitating privacy compliance. I see a great future for LegalTech.

After five years working as an IT lawyer for the Anglo-Saxon firm Hogan Lovells and then telecom startup Worldmax (mobile broadband, operating under the name Aerea), I worked as an independent lawyer in the six years before the establishment of Grasp (mostly in-house with e.g. Capgemini, Canon, T-Mobile, Epson, Getronics, Philips, Tommy Hilfiger and ASML).
